Gentle Motorcycle Rider started from a desire for less noise.
I ride classic motorcycles and drive oldtimers. Not purely out of nostalgia, but because old machines ask something of you attention, patience, presence. You can’t be distracted when something needs to be listened to.
That same mindset carries through to what I wear, what I drink, and where I choose to stop. I’m not interested in the fastest route or the most popular bar. I’m interested in the right one for that day, that road, that mood.
On this blog I write about classic motorcycles and oldtimers, gear that protects without sacrificing style, craft beer and brewery visits, whisky bars and cocktail bars, wine, restaurants, and weekends away.
No top tens. No must-haves. No scores out of ten. Just what worked, what didn’t, and what I’d do again.

Gear & Safety — What I actually wear and use on the road. Style and protection are not a trade-off. Getting home matters more than looking good but ideally, both.
Food & Drink — Cocktail bars, whisky bars, craft beer and brewery visits, wine bars, and restaurants worth the detour. The kind of places you remember because of the atmosphere, not the Instagram light.
Travel — Weekends away, city guides and ride reports. Where riding and staying and eating all come together into something worth writing about.
